[Demi-Fiend is so used to people just telling him what they would give him in return for "insert-awful-task-here" that he found himself at loss on what to even ask for when given the freedom to choose.
What did he need? Nothing, really. He was close to getting the shards needed to regain his powers, and then he was set. BB let him mooch around in her garden and she fed him, and once he got his powers he wouldn't even need human food anymore and being exposed to the elements wouldn't bother him. He literally had nothing he could ever want or need, and he wasn't going to demand a bribe he ultimately didn't really feel like just because he was put on the spot.

I'm gonna have to think about what I want, so I'll let you know. Oh, also, it'll have to wait until I get my powers back, which should be soon... I don't wanna go to hell as some weakass human.

[He doesn't mind it if people give him stuff he doesn't need, because he enjoys just being given stuff, no matter how impractical. But if he had to choose and it was ultimately not something he needed or even wanted, then it just put him in a bad mood that he wasted a choice like that...
