PERSONALITY
Driven. Blunt. Defiant. Demi-Fiend is infamous for being a creature of mass destruction and the bane of all SMT players who take up the challenge of his superboss battle. Before that, though, he started at the very bottom of the demonic food chain, where Naoki became Demi-Fiend, and his stubborn bullheadedness is mostly why he survived his ordeals within the Vortex World.
He's adaptable enough to roll with whatever crazy situation he's always thrown headfirst into, and approaches every challenge with his fists up and ready to fight through, no matter what stands in his way. He's not a guy who's suited to deep, philisophical thinking, and is more prone to simply charging forwards and hoping the situation solves itself that way. On the one hand it means he doesn't have a devious bone in his body, and he's refreshingly blunt in that what you see if what you get: the problem is he's a bit of a dumbass jock who will rather go DEMI-FIEND SMASH than take a step back and reconsider his situation.
He's also supremely confident in himself to the point of near blind arrogance. By the time of SMTV he's a dimension-trotting force of destruction, a superboss designed to put veteren SMT players through their paces and concoct the most balls-to-the-wall insane strategies to beat him (I'm not joking), and his attitude very much reflects that. He's fine being challenged - he's fine being beaten, even, so long as you're amusing and get his pulse up. He's dismissive towards those he percieves as non-threats, but he doesn't go out of his way to bully the weak - in fact, he finds bullies intolerable. However, he holds no respect towards those he considers weak, and believes that one should always have the strength to stand on their own two feet and forge their own destiny. For those who cling to others for power or to do the heavy lifting for them... he looks down on them.
And finally... he is a bit silly. Okay, he can be a lot silly. Listen, when your only source of socialising comes from demons who will randomly challenge you to crush rocks in your hands or ask you out of pocket questions on the nature of good and evil only to call you a bitch ass if you pick the wrong answer, your social skills will function off a logic no human will follow. I apologise in advance for those trapped in conversation with him.

Appearance
5'7 . Eyes: Grey (Golden when amped up) . Hair: black, shortOf average height for a young Japanese man and broad-shouldered (from all those demons he caveman punches), his body is covered in glowing tattoos that stem from his union to a magatama, also known as the "very essence of a demon". The magatama is a parasitic creature that has permanently fused to him, and the horn jutting from the back of his neck is also a sign of that. According to Kaneko, the horn is "a primitive brain or sensory organ", and through this horn can utilise magic or communicate to other demons through unexplained means. The horn is incredibly hard, however, and cannot be easily damaged, if at all (according to the few comics where it smashes through solid rock and he's perfectly fine lol).
Aside from that, he's always shirtless, and wears skin-tight shorts with the most durable running trainers known to man. This man has not changed his shorts or shoes in literal decades. Who made them. They're indestructible.
Demi-Fiend's story starts off rather normally: close to graduation, he and his two friends, Chiaki and Isamu, decide to visit their teacher Yuko at Shinjuku Hospital at her invitation. Unbeknownst to all three of them, Yuko invited them (specifically then Naoki) to the hospital in an effort to spare them from the Conception, an apocalyptic event that would kill every single human being outside of Shinjuku hospital and revert the world to a Vortex World, a sort of cosmic egg from which a new world will be born.
As the Conception initiated, however, Naoki drew the interest of Lucifer, who decided to bestow upon him a magatama, thereby transforming him into a demon. The procedure was... not pretty.
After that, Demi-Fiend travelled across the Vortex World, gradually understanding what had happened and why, and his place in it all. After many trials and tribulations, he eventually sided with Lucifer and decided to destroy the endless cycle of creation and destruction, climbing the Tower of Kagutuschi and destroying Creation once and for all. This choice required him to kill his friends (would it be an SMT game if he didn't?), but by that point they were consumed by their ambitions to create a new world in their image, willing to kill whoever stood in their way, even if it was an old friend.
When the dust settled, Demi-Fiend stood victorious, surpassing even Lucifer and marching onwards across the various worlds, all with a single-minded goal of destroying the Great Will that governs the cycle. Why? Well, maybe for freedom. Maybe out of spite. Who can say...

history
Abilities
freikugel.
Severe Almighty Strength-based attack to one foe - in short, it's a beam of pure energy that he shoots out of his mouth i wish i was joking lmao
gaea rage.
Severe Physical attack to all foes. Ignores affinity resistances and pierces through - basically uses his power to make the earth explode under your feet. In game it's an insta-kill move, but in RP land let's just say it's big earthquake move......
javelin rain.
Severe physical attack to all foes. Chance of inflicting Seal - this move is him dispelling raw energy that can temporarily rob an enemy of their ability to cast spells or moves.
deadly fury.
Medium Physical attack to one foe. Always lands Critical hits - this is just DEMI-FIEND SMASH move where it hits like a truck. Inelegant but simple... fatal...
chaotic will.
Chance of instakill to all foes. Foe's Press Turn icons will be halved next turn - to transform this move into RP-land, essentially he exerts his will into a physical pressure that functions a lot like killing intent, I guess? Weak-willed people will find themselves more susceptible to this, whereas the strong-willed can resist the pressure.
mediarahan.
Full HP recovery to all allies - the move you hate to see on any superboss! Yes, he has a full HP restore healing ability. Remarkable considering what a muscle headed jock he is, but Demi-Fiend's enough of a troll to learn this just to fuck with people.
elemental resistances.
Due to his fusion with the Masakados magatama, he resists all elements naturally (Fire, Ice, Elec, Force, Light, Dark and Physical). This just means he's very tanky, though not completely impervious to damage. He'll take a chair being smashed over his head without blinking, but a bullet to the chest will make him stagger, that sort of thing.
elemental manipulation.
While he prefers violently dispelling raw energy as opposed to crafting spells, Demi-Fiend still has the basics of elemental manipulation down. He usually uses it for parlour tricks, though: snapping his fingers to light candles, a small gust of wind to snuff it out, freezing moisture in the air to make an ice cube... that kind of thing. Anything more complex will just be, er, very violent and explosive and not at all controlled.
demonic senses and constitution.
As a demon, his constitution is far more robust than a normal human's. He doesn't require oxygen, and can theoretically run forever if he felt like it. He also doesn't require food or water to live, but he does feel the hunger all demons possesses - a craving for magatsuhi that can only be obtained from other demons, or humans. As such, he can sense magatsuhi through his horn, which gives the impression that he has eyes on the back of his head with how aware he is of his surroundings at all times. He also has heightened vision, sense of smell and hearing that outstrip's a human's ability.
spirit of misfortune?
Because of his union with a magatama - also known as a spirit of misfortune - his great power comes with a hilarious drawback: demonic luck. Randomly, he'll be afflicted with ailments ranging from poison to paralysis, and can even be directly cursed. This is because he is now a spirit of misfortune, but that misfortune doesn't discriminate. His existence is a cursed one - it's just that this curse manifests a little more physically than most. In RP-land, this randomisation will be when he overuses his power, functioning as a sort of "rebound" just to keep things a little more balanced with him.
